His practice areas include intellectual property, data privacy / protection, cybercrime, e-commerce law, tech contracts review, financial technology, corporate and criminal litigation, and regulatory intersections of law and technology (like blockchain and artificial intelligence).
As a data privacy practitioner, Jayr advises organizations, whether as controllers and/or processors, on how to properly carry out their processing activities through evolving data privacy regulations while maintaining operational agility, including designing and operationalizing privacy frameworks and translating legal requirements into actionable practices. Jayr is also an experienced speaker on privacy and compliance, having presented to audiences spanning private sector, public institutions, and industry groups.
In the intellectual property field, Jayr has advised and represented parties involved in trademark and copyright disputes, including licensing agreements and infringement cases in various industries including music, food service, educational, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and fashion.
