Jayr is currently a Partner at one of the leading law firms in the Philippines. His practice areas include intellectual property, data privacy / protection, cybercrime, e-commerce law, tech contracts review, financial technology, corporate and criminal litigation, and regulatory intersections of law and technology
LAW ACADEME
Jayr is a Professor at the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Civil Law and San Sebastian Recoletos-College of Law where he teaches Commercial Law subjects (Data Privacy, Intellectual Property, Insurance, Transportation, and Competition Law). He is also a Professor at the UST Graduate School of Law where he teaches the course “Fintech and Other Commercial Intersections with Emerging Technologies.”
AUTHOR
In 2023, Jayr authored the book “Information Technology, Law, and Policy.” He has also written articles on the topic of law and technology published by the International Comparative Legal Guide, Asia Legal Business, and the Asia Business Law Journal.
ROTARIAN
Jayr is currently the incoming President of the Rotary Club of Manila Supreme 198, whose charter President is currently the District Governor-nominee for District 3810, under the current Rotary Theme of Unite for Good.

CHEVENING ALUMNUS
In 2021, Jayr was awarded the prestigious Chevening scholarship by the UK Government and proceeded to take up his master’s degree in Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law at the University of East Anglia, United Kingdom, finishing the course with Distinction in 2022. Prior to that, he has also completed the online FinTech certification course of the Harvard Office of the Vice Provost for Advances in Learning, Harvard University, USA.
ECO-WASTE ADVOCATE
Jayr has been practicing waste segregation/reduction for almost five years now, thereby supporting available materials waste recovery facilities in the country including Eco-Ikot. He aims to influence others towards the same advocacy.
